YouTube Freezing in My Android

At the moment of watching videos on YouTube, the phone tends to freeze.

The problem is that video keeps freezing while the sound is on. Here are given a few steps that would help you fix YouTube freezing on Android devices.

Optimize Apps

1. Unlock your phone, tap the Main Menu.
2. Tap Settings icon.
3. Scroll down; tap Apps.
4. Tap Downloaded tab.
5. Tap the name of an app you would like to stop.
6. Tap Force Stop button.

Clear YouTube App Cache

1. Open Apps page. Refer Steps # 1-3 from Optimize Apps section.
2. Tap the All icon.
3. Tap YouTube app.
4. Scroll down the page.
5. Tap “Clear Cache” under Cache category.

Update YouTube App

1. Tap Main Menu icon.
2. Tap Play Store.
3. Tap and hold from left to right. A new panel will be displayed.
4. Tap Settings option.
5. Check-up “Notifications” checkbox.
6. Tap Auto-Update Apps.
7. Tap “Auto-update apps at any time. Data charges may apply” option.
8. Exit the Play Store.
9. Press and long hold Power key.
10. Tap Restart.
11. Make sure your smartphone is connected to the Internet.

Turn Off Background Synchronization

1. Open Settings page. Refer Steps # 1-2 from Optimize Apps section.
2. Scroll down the page.
3. Tap Accounts & Sync.
4. Turn off Auto-Sync feature.

Note: If you do not wish to turn off synchronization of all apps, review each app and disable sync independently.

Get More Storage Space

1. Open Settings page. Refer Steps # 1-2 from Optimize Apps section.
2. Scroll down; tap Storage.
3. Tap Make more space option in all following categories:
   • App Storage
   • Phone Storage
   • SD Card.
