iPhone to Windows 11 Photo Transfer and Management Guide

Electronic device storages are getting bigger and bigger every year. The iPhone is not an exception. With more storage offerings, users are capturing more photos, sharing snaps, downloading files from the Internet, and installing new apps.

Product Spotlight (Duplicate Files): Use Sorcim’s Clone Files Checker to remove 1000s of duplicate files in your PC.

Clone Files Checker follows Google Software Principles. It will not ask you to provide email address to download the software.

Despite the gigantic space and convenience they offer, these storages are still fragile & prone to various vulnerabilities. Your precious family photos can be lost in minutes due to iPhone theft, physical damage, malware infection or device malfunction. If your phone gets bricked for any reason, your device becomes unusable and irreparable and hence the chances of retrieving your data are almost minimal. And even if you’re lucky enough, the data recovery services can be quite expensive in nature.

This is exactly why a lot of people choose to transfer their photos and other precious data to their computer and external hard disks as part of their backup strategy. Transferring photos from your iPhone to a Windows 11 PC can be helpful to not only reclaim lost storage, but also protect your data from iPhone theft and other technical glitches. Here are some methods to accomplish the same.

Using a Data Cable

Method 1: Using File Explorer

  1. Plugin the data cable that came with your iPhone to the USB port on your Windows 11 PC.

Without a Data Cable

Don’t have a data cable? No problem. There’s another way to easily transfer your photos over the Internet.

Using AirTransfer App

AirTransfer is a third-party app that can help you wirelessly transfer your photos, documents, videos, Safari bookmarks, and other files from an iPhone to PC.

  1. Make sure both the Win11 computer and iPhone are connected to the same Wi-Fi Internet connection. If both are connected to different networks, this method will not work.
  2. Go to the Apple App Store on your iPhone.
  3. Search for AirTransfer and install it.
  4. Open up the AirTransfer app.
  5. Click on the Plus icon (+) at the bottom-right corner.
  6. You’ll be prompted to choose the files you want to transfer. Select the photos you want to import.
  7. After selecting the files, AirTransfer will show up a unique URL in a new screen. Just enter that URL in a web browser on your Windows PC.
  8. As soon as you enter the URL, all your selected files will be visible on the computer and you can select them all or individually select the files to initiate the download.
