Analyzing and cleaning your disk space can be a daunting task. However, it doesn’t have to be like that. By using tools like WizTree and Clone Files Checker, you can make this task a lot easier.

  • Towards the top left corner of your screen, you will see an option to select a disk to scan. Select a disk here.
  • Click on the Scan button and wait for a few seconds to let WizTree complete the scan.
  • After the scan is completed, Wiztree will show you statistical details (eg: size, number of items) regarding all folders present in that disk. You can expand folders to see subfolders and their further details.
  • From these stats, you can easily observe what’s taking the most space. Once you know, you can open the respective folders by right-clicking on the folder’s name and selecting Explore Folder. Here, you can simply delete any unnecessary large files that are occupying your Window’s storage.

Additionally, WizTree can also create a colour-coded (by type) and clickable map of all the data on your disk. By clicking on any item on the map, you can obtain additional information about any specific data. The colours of this map can be customized to enhance the representation of your disk space distribution.

Alternatively, you can also use tools like CCleaner. However, there’s a risk you might end up deleting something significant this way. While deleting files or folders, make sure that you do not remove any essential files (eg: operating system files).
