Why duplicate files show up on Android
Copies are rarely one “Duplicates” folder.

Method 1: Delete duplicate files in Files by Google
This is Google’s documented path for duplicate files on the device. Steps follow Files by Google Help.

- Open My Files.
- Tap Analyse storage (wording may be Analyze / Manage storage).

Samsung’s own help says: if you delete all files after checking them, the originals go too. Unlike Files by Google’s Original badge, you must leave one file in each group.
This exists on One UI. It is not on a Pixel. It is still an exact-file cleanup, not a similar-photo studio.

- Choose Duplicate scan (exact). Do not mix it with Similar Photos in one pass — the home screen keeps those modes separate.
