Method 1: Delete a post on X
This is the right method for a few posts you can already see.
- Open X and sign in.
- Open the post.
- Open the post menu (the more icon on the post).
- Choose Delete.

The post is removed from your account. You cannot undelete it inside X. Do this thirty times and it is tedious. Do it for a decade of replies and you will not finish.
Method 2: Download your archive
This is the official step for everything the recent window does not include. X’s own Help page did not load while this draft was written, so the path below follows the labels in Settings. If a label has moved, stay under Your account and look for the archive download.

Method 3: Filter the archive and delete

There is no media chip and no links filter on the Tweets page. If you want “posts with photos,” the archive import can store that a post had attached media, but you cannot tick a photo filter in the current Tweets bar. Filter by words, dates, hashtag, or type instead.
The recent-import choice on that same first screen is a different door. After you unlock it, X sends about the last 3,200 tweets and 800 likes. It does not send bookmarks, and those tweets do not come with media addresses. Use it when the recent window is the whole job. Use the ZIP when you need the older posts.
What a delete costs in time and quota

Likes and bookmarks
Likes and bookmarks are separate lists.
- Likes. Filter by keyword or author, then unlike. Unliking removes your like. It does not delete the other person’s post.
- Bookmarks. They come from the archive file, not from the recent import. Filter by keyword, then remove the ones you selected or remove the filtered set.
If X rejects a bookmark removal, the copy in this app can still disappear. Do not assume the dashboard and X always match on bookmarks. Check X if that row mattered.
What deletion does and does not do
A delete from this flow calls X’s API. The post comes off your account. It is not hidden, and it is not scheduled for later. You cannot restore it here.
These can still show the words after X has deleted the post:
