Installing older BIOS update causes this issue. Close all open programs before installation.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Change USB Power Management Settings<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Fire up the list of all devices. Expand a node named \u201cUniversal Serial Bus Controllers\u201d and then \u201cUSB Root Hub\u201d. Disable a feature that lets your system shutdown your USB to save power. This feature is located in the Power Management tab<\/p>\n<h2><b>Change Upper Filter Configs<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Do not delete the Upper Filter keys. Using the RegEdit tool only change some configurations related to the Upper Filters as instructed below:<\/p>\n<p>Expand the following subkey:<\/p>\n<p><strong>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Class\\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\\UpperFilters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Make sure it only says <strong>mouclass<\/strong>. Remove <strong>klmouflt<\/strong>\u00a0if it exists.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Test Other Ports<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Check whether other USB ports of your laptop incur the same issue. The problem may be limited to only one port because of physical reasons. Contact your laptop manufacturer to diagnose the problem by replacing faulty cable or USB port.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Reinstall Corrupted USB Driver<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>In the Device Manager, you will see the list of all devices in the left panel, where you\u2019ve to expand the top node and then \u201cUniversal Serial Bus Controllers\u201d node.
