You\u2019re perhaps then aware of this connection error:\u00a0<b>\u201cDNS_PROBE_FINSHED_NXDOMAIN\u201d<\/b>. Chrome gives this error relatively more than the other browsers. Why? Because the Chrome DNS lookup fails when you try to access any webpage. But we\u2019ve found the most reliable ways to fix this error.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><b>An important note:<\/b> There\u2019s no particular solution available for this error. So we recommend you to move to another solution if one (or two) fails.<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"clear\">Fix 1 &#8211; Manually Assign DNS Server<\/h2>\n<div class=\"clear\">This one is the most effective, yet reliable solution available. In the case of DNS not working, you need to change their DNS server to a reliable one such as Googles DNS. Want to know how? Follow these steps:<\/div>\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<ol>\n<li>Open\u00a0<b>Network and Sharing Center\u00a0<\/b>by searching it on\u00a0<b>Search the web and Windows\u00a0<\/b>section (bottom left of the screen.<\/li>\n<li>Right-click the text next to <b>Connections<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Go on <b>Properties.<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Select <b>Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP\/IPv4) <\/b>and go to<b> \u2018Properties<\/b>.<b>\u2019<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Select <b>Use the following DNS server addresses<\/b> and enter these numbers <b>8.8.8.8<\/b> and <b>4.4.4.4<\/b> (as seen in the screenshot).<\/li>\n<li>Check <b>Validate settings upon exit<\/b> and press <b>OK<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Your DNS server address should now have changed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><b>Fix 2 \u2013 Flushing the DNS<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>This fix requires using the <b>Command Prompt. <\/b>Here\u2019s how:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the command prompt by pressing <b>Windows + X<\/b> and selecting <b>Command Prompt (Admin)<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>And now enter the command <b>netsh winsock reset catalog.<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Press <b>Enter<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Restart your PC to complete the reset.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><b>Fix 3 \u2013 Hard Restart the Router<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>This one is simplest. Follow \u00a0these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Turn off your router. Unplug it (from the power source).<\/li>\n<li>Wait for 15-20 seconds. Turn it on again.<\/li>\n<li>This will reset your DNS and assign you a new one (if there\u2019s any).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Issue resolved!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are you using Google Chrome?
