Open Notepad as administrator. Press Windows Key + X, select Search. Type \u201cNotepad\u201d in Search Box. Click Apps icon. Right click Notepad displayed in Search Results, click Run as administrator icon.<\/p>\n<p>2. Press Ctrl + O.<\/p>\n<p>3. Locate and open following file:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>C:\\Windows\\System32\\Drivers\\Etc\\Hosts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>4. Set the following setting:<\/p>\n<p>Original Value:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>gs.apple.com<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>New Change:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li># gs.apple.com<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>5. Press Ctrl + S.<\/p>\n<p>6. Exit the file.<\/p>\n<p>For Windows 7\/ Vista:<\/p>\n<p>1. Click Start, type \u201cNotepad\u201d in Search Box.<\/p>\n<p>2. Right click Notepad in to Search Results, select Run as administrator.<\/p>\n<p>3 Refer Steps # 2-6 under Windows 8.1\/ 8 user\u2019s section.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Determine Administrative Privileges<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Make sure you run iTunes with administrative privileges.<\/p>\n<p>For Windows 8.1\/ 8\/ 7\/ Vista:<\/p>\n<p>1. Right click iTunes desktop shortcut.<\/p>\n<p>2. Select Run as administrator.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Determine Compatibility Issues<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Some of the unsupported program features needs to be disabled as follows:<\/p>\n<p>For Windows 8.1\/ 8\/ 7\/ Vista:<\/p>\n<p>1. Right click iTunes desktop shortcut, choose Properties from context menu.<\/p>\n<p>2. Click Compatibility tab in the new dialog.<\/p>\n<p>3. Select an earlier version that you see in the drop down box.<\/p>\n<p>4. Click OK.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Determine Disk Permission Issues<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>For Mac:<\/p>\n<p>1. Click Applications | Utilities.<\/p>\n<p>2. Open the Disk Utility tool.<\/p>\n<p>3. Choose your primary hard disk displayed in list box.<\/p>\n<p>4. Click Verify Disk Permissions button.<\/p>\n<p>5.
