Here are some tips and tricks if Surface Pro isn’t running as fast as it once did. The steps are applicable for Windows 8.1 Tablet.

Optimize Hard Disk<\/b><\/h2>\n

One of the best ways you can speed up Surface Pro 3 Windows 8.1 tablet is by optimizing your hard disk. This tool reduces drive fragmentation. As a result, data is quickly retrieved from files.<\/p>\n

  1. Press Windows Key + X.<\/li>\n
  2. Click Search.<\/li>\n
  3. Type \u201cOptimize\u201d in the Search Box.<\/li>\n
  4. Click \u201cDefragment and Optimize your Drives\u201d in Search Results page.<\/li>\n
  5. Drive optimization tool will be opened.<\/li>\n
  6. Select all drives, click \u201cOptimize\u201d button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Disable Startups<\/b><\/h2>\n

    Boost the Windows startup speed by disabling many startup applications. Disable all Non-Microsoft startup applications except high-priority startups like antivirus.<\/p>\n

    2. Click Task Manager.<\/li>\n

      Disable Windows Features<\/b><\/h2>\n

      Windows comes with different features- some of which are not useful for us. Disable all unnecessary features. This will reduce consumption of CPU Usage and speed up Surface Pro 3 Windows 8.1 tablet.<\/p>\n

      2. Click Programs and Features.<\/li>\n

          Check Disk for Errors<\/b><\/h2>\n

          Disk errors slow down your tablet. Check your hard disk for errors and repair them automatically.<\/p>\n

          3. Click the Tools tab, and then Check Now button.<\/li>\n
