However, this feature is only available in Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise editions. This technique involves the Group Policy Editor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To do this:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the Cortana search box, type \u2018gpedit\u2019 and select to open gpedit.msc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the left hand side panel, expand the \u2018Computer Configuration\u2019 node, followed by \u2018Administrative Templates\u2019.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the right hand side panel, double-click on \u2018Windows Components\u2019.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the new page, look for \u2018OneDrive\u2019. Double-click to open it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Double-click on \u2018Prevent the usage of OneDrive for file storage\u2019.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The default selected option is \u2018Not Configured\u2019. Furthermore, if you wish to turn it on later, all you need to do is set the \u2018Prevent the usage of OneDrive for file storage\u2019 to \u2018Disabled\u2019 in the Step # 6 above. All other steps remain the same.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Unsync using the Unlink Account Option<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019re not a tech-savvy user and don\u2019t know how to use complex tools such as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Group Policy Editor<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, don\u2019t worry. We are about to share with you yet another technique to unsync OneDrive. The only thing you need to do is select the \u2018Unlink Account\u2019 option in the program settings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To do this:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on the \u2018OneDrive\u2019 notification icon.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on the \u2018Help &amp; Settings\u2019 icon.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then, click the \u2018Account\u2019 tab.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Right-below you will see \u2018Unlink this PC\u2019 mentioned. Click it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A window will pop-up asking you to \u2018unlink account on this PC\u2019.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the\u2018 Unlink account\u2019 to disable OneDrive syncing.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><b>Unsync Specific Folders<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last but not the least, you can unsync specific folders instead of unsyncing everything in your OneDrive account. This way you will be saving space on your PC by unsyncing folders that occupy larger storage and don\u2019t necessarily have to be stored offline.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To do this:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the \u2018OneDrive Icon\u2019 in the notification tray.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on the Help &amp; Settings icon.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select Settings.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, click on Account.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scroll down to click \u2018Choose Folders\u2019. This will open the OneDrive files and folders.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Uncheck the option \u2018Mark all files available\u2019. Alternatively, you can uncheck individual folders that you don\u2019t want OneDrive to sync.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once you are done unchecking, press the \u2018OK\u2019 button.
