Adding Files to the Library<\/h2>\n

The first thing you need to do is to add all files to your Library. You can do it either by adding all partitions<\/b> or selected folders<\/b>. Follow these steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Press Windows Key<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  2. Start Screen<\/b> will appear. Type Windows Media Player<\/b> in Search Box.<\/li>\n
  3. Click Apps<\/b> icon and open the keyword from Search Results<\/b>.

  4. You have now the player opened up.

  5. Right-click Music<\/b> on the left and select Manage Music Library<\/b>.<\/li>\n

  18. Subsequently, specify you want to delete it from your hard disk and not just PlayList<\/b>.<\/li>\n

  20. Go back to Library<\/b>, and click Videos | All Videos icon<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  21. Do the same with all duplicate video files (refer to steps # 18-20 above)<\/li>\n
  22. Go back to Library <\/b>again, and double-click Pictures | All Pictures<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  23. Do the same with all duplicate image files (refer to steps # 18-20 above)<\/li>\n
  24. Go back to Library<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  25. Double click Recorded TV | All TVs<\/b>.<\/li>\n

    Removing Duplicate Files<\/h2>\n

    Finally, the time has now come to delete identical copies:<\/p>\n

    1. Search all files and remove duplicate files.
      \n\"Sort<\/li>\n
    2. Arrange them in an ascending order: Click Title<\/b> column head. This arranges your items accordingly.<\/li>\n
    3. Right-click any duplicate item, and press Delete.<\/b> And then Confirm<\/b> your action.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Windows Media Player stores track of all recently played\u00a0music, media information. Follow these steps in this article to delete duplicate files by clearing folder contents.<\/p>\n
