Here is the procedure outlined in more detail:<\/p>\n

  1. Download and install PictureEcho<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Launch the software and click Add Path<\/strong> to add up the path to the target location.<\/li>\n
  3. Choose a similarity level from the Similarity Setting<\/strong>\u00a0option.<\/li>\n
  4. Click Start Search<\/strong> to initialize the scan.<\/li>\n
  5. Once the scan is over, you will notice results populate the UI<\/strong> of PictureEcho<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  6. You can either manually select the images or select an appropriate selection criterion from the Select Duplicates<\/strong> menu.<\/li>\n
  7. The final step is choosing from the Select Action<\/strong> menu whether you want to permanently delete the unwanted images or move them to a specific folder.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Try Built-In Duplicate Finder<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    ZPS<\/b>‘s built-in Find Duplicate Files<\/b> is handy in that it helps you scan all dupes and remove them. Here’s how:<\/p>\n

    1. Launch ZPS<\/b>.<\/li>\n
    2. Menu<\/b> \u2192 Organize<\/b> \u2192 Find Duplicate Files<\/b>.<\/li>\n
    3. Select Local Hard Drives<\/b>. Here ZPS<\/b> allows you do it in your own way (in a customized way). For example, you can search in specific folders (like Pictures<\/strong>, Downloads<\/strong>\u00a0etc) as well.<\/li>\n
    4. ZPS<\/b> also contains the\u00a0Show only files with matching names <\/b>option. This way you instruct ZPS<\/b> to search only identically named photos.<\/li>\n
    5. Anyways, tap All Files<\/b> and hit Search.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Use Backups of Original option<\/strong><\/h2>\n

      ZPS<\/b> also gives you backups of your original photos. Beware: These photos never reveal themselves and in time they grow up and eat up all your hard disk space. Here’s how you can delete them: Tap Menu<\/b> \u2192 Organize<\/b> \u2192 Backups of Originals<\/b> \u2192 Delete Back of Original<\/b>.<\/p>\n

      If there’s no backup, ZPS<\/b> disables this option. But you can delete backups from your app settings. Follow these steps:<\/p>\n

      1. Tap Menu<\/b> \u2192 View<\/b> \u2192 Preferences<\/b> \u2192 Backups<\/b>.<\/li>\n
      2. It shows you the size of your backup folder. Tap Delete Backups of Originals<\/b> and then Yes<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Try Photo Synchronization<\/strong><\/h2>\n

        This process tells you about the location where you’ve saved your photos. Locations vary. Remove them and reclaim your free space.<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Tap Menu<\/b> \u2192 Organize<\/b>.<\/li>\n
        2. Hit Synchronize Folders.<\/b> Now you’ve your destination folder (C:\\backup\\<\/strong>).<\/li>\n
        3. Browse it (C:\\backup\\<\/strong>) and delete all synced files using File Explorer<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Still Not Getting Results? Try a Manual Search<\/strong><\/h2>\n

          It’s certainly a tedious workaround. Still, if you want to do this open the image directory (where you have all your images), sort them out one-by-one and find duplicates. Here’s how:<\/p>\n

          1. File Explorer<\/b> \u2192 ZPS catalog folder<\/b> \u2192 View<\/b> \u2192 Sort by<\/b> \u2192 Name<\/b> \u2192 Ascending<\/b>.<\/li>\n
          2. Right-click any dup and hit Delete<\/b>.<\/li>\n
