The board rolls on its own. You drag Steer, hold Charge, and let go when it is full. Neon Rider is a landscape hoverboard race: an optional tutorial, then 19 roads against riders that stay on the phone.
Steer, then hold Charge
A full charge takes five seconds. The button reads RELEASE! when the meter is full, then BOOST while it burns. Let go early and that charge is lost. Leaving the road or hitting something does not end the run. The board is set back on the road and slowed, and the finish screen counts a recovered wipeout.

Stay with the pack
A campaign road puts you in a field of 12: you, plus 11 riders stored on the device. One of them is the Omega, faster than the rest. They are not other people online. Tuck in behind a rival and the HUD can show SLIPSTREAM. That tow fills Charge faster. Later roads hide grind rails. Clip a rail with the nose of the board to grind.

Place is what opens the next road
Time does not unlock the next road. Finish place does. On the first three roads, 3rd or better opens the next one. From road 4 on, you need 2nd or better. If you miss that place, you can watch a rewarded video for one retry at a looser place. You do not have to watch an ad to play.
The title screen continues at the latest open road. The tutorial, First Light, is optional. Neon Coast is already open. Best time for each road stays on the phone. There is no account. Clearing the last road shows that all 19 are done.
Neon Rider needs Android 6 or newer, and the race stays in landscape. This build is version 1.2. Ads can show on the road list and the finish screen. A full-screen ad can appear when a race starts from road 2 onward.
