Photo Requirements in the US

Here are major photo requirements in the US:

  • You must take a color photo.
  • Your photo must be taken within the last 6 months from the date of the application.
  • The photo must have a white or off-white background.
  • Both eyes must be open while capturing the photo.

  • Uniforms are not allowed in the photo. Wear normal clothing in your day-to-day life.

Steps

Step 1: Take your best picture using the front-facing camera, or have someone else take it for you. (We recommend the latter).

You could also use a countdown timer to prepare yourself for a correct shot.
