Mega Insufficient Transfer Quota

As a free Mega user, your account is restricted to only 5 GB of downloads per day. This limit is very insufficient if you need to download large files. After exceeding the download limit, you’re forced to wait for a few hours before you can resume the download.  If you’re looking to get over this Mega insufficient transfer quota, you’ve come to the right place. Read on.

Product Spotlight: EASY CLOUD MANAGER (ECM) to transfer files across clouds. ECM uses official cloud APIs and provides amazing options to manage files on cloud. Use it free here: https://www.easycloudmanager.com/

Use a VPN The easiest way to bypass this restriction is to use a Virtual Private Network (VPN). Using a VPN, you will get an entirely new IP Address and you can bypass the daily quota without waiting for hours. However, you might still not be able to download the file if it’s too large in size. This happens because resumption is not possible when you change your IP Address. The website considers your session as an entirely new session from a different device rather than the existing one. You could get away with this by downloading smaller files. If you’re using Opera, you can use the in-house VPN functionality to trick Mega into thinking that you’re a new user. To activate the VPN in Opera, click the Menu icon on the left and select Settings. Type VPN in the Search Box and move the Enable VPN switch to the right. Note: Free VPNs often come with a hidden cost. Free VPNs may throttle your download speed and even log your activities. It is recommended that you use a high-quality, paid VPN for faster download speed. Add a Mobile Number Another simple way to extend your transfer quota is to add your mobile number. Adding a mobile number will increase your transfer quota by 40 GB and add up additional 20 GB of storage space.
