Install Latest Version of Windows Installer

Windows Installer service allows user to install and uninstall programs in the computer. Error 1084 may appear if you have an outdated version of Windows Installer on your system. To fix this issue you have to install the latest version of the service. To do so follow these steps:

  • 1) Open Internet Explorer
  • 2) Open this link
  • 3) Download Windows Installer 4.5
  • 4) Run the Setup file
  • 5) Reboot your computer after installation

Delete Temp Files

Some junk files in the temp folder may also prevent you from uninstalling a program. In this case you have to clean the files in the temp folder. Follow these steps to clean it:

  • 1) Click on Start
  • 2) In search box type %temp% and press Enter
  • 3) Press Ctrl+A to select all the junk files in the folder
  • 4) Press Delete and click Yes to confirm
  • 5) After cleaning the folder then try to uninstall the program

Fix Windows Registry
