Error 1058 IN Windows 7, Vista and XP may appear if the service you are trying to access is set to disable. In this case you are required to enable it again. To do so follow these steps

  • 1) Click on Start
  • 2) Move to Programs > Administrative Tools and click on Services
  • 3) Double click on the service that was producing error
  • 4) Click on Log On tab
  • 5) Make sure that the service you are trying to use is not disabled, if it is disabled then Enable it
  • 6) Click on General tab
  • 7) Now verify that the service has not been disabled again in the Startup Type, if it has then click on Automatic so that this service start when the you logon computer.
