Logon as an Administrator

If you don't longon to Windows as an Admin and try to install a program you may receive error 1303 in Windows 7/8, Vista and XP.

Perform Single Installation

Make sure that you don’t perform dual installation of programs at one time. If you do so you may receive an error code 1303.

Clean Registry Errors

To fix this problem you need to repair Windows registry. Use the Registry repair tool given in step-1

Install Windows Installer Again

If Windows Installer gets corrupt it will also create hurdles in installation and un-installation of programs. In this case you have to install the Windows Installer again. To do so follow the steps below:

  • Click Start
  • Type CMD and press Enter
  • Type the following command one by one and press enter after each command
  • cd %windir%\system32
  • attrib -r -s -h dllcache
  • ren msi.dll msi.old
  • ren msiexec.exe msiexec.old
  • ren msihnd.dll msihnd.old
  • Type exit and press Enter to close command prompt
  • Restart your computer
  • Download latest version of Windows Installer from Microsoft official website
  • Install the program again
  • Restart your PC
