Ease of Use?

Hard? Not at all! Sorting and deleting similar or duplicate pictures using PictureEcho is one of the easiest things ever. Here’s what you have to do:

  1. Once you download this program from and run the installation setup, you have to use the Add Path button to add the folder or drive for scanning of possible duplicate pictures in Windows 10 and older versions of the Windows OS.
  2. Initiate the scan by hitting the Start Search button. The program offers 4 different levels of similarity, giving the user a free choice to choose between them. Each level of scanning finds duplicate images differently. For instance, level 1 of the PictureEcho would capture all snaps taken by a camera within a 30-seconds time frame. Level 4, on the other hand, will not take into account the time frame during which the pictures are taken by a camera. These levels make this visual similarity duplicate image finder an interesting software program.
  3. Once the search is completed, all similar or duplicate image files are displayed on the screen, divided into different photo groups. The preview screen is shown on the right hand of the software which makes it easy for the user to see an image inside a particular file group.
  4. After reviewing the results, now you can determine which files you wish to keep and which ones you want to get rid of.
  5. Before you proceed to delete duplicate photos, look at the bottom of the program’s interface. Here the software gives the user essential statistical information on the number of images which are labeled duplicates, and the volume of disk space these identical photos are occupying.
  6. Next, you have to choose the Select Duplicates option. This can be done automatically on the basis of various factors such as the image size (largest or smallest), date of creation (oldest or newest),  resolution (highest or lowest), file history, as well as image locations. You can also perform the task manually but of course, it might take more time depending on the total number of image files you have.
  7. Lastly, you have to click Select Action and decide whether you want to move all the duplicates to a different location or delete them permanently.

PictureEcho is definitely one of the best duplicate photo finder software applications for photo lovers and photographers.
