The plot of the game covers the first two seasons on the anime series Attack of Titan. The player is initially required to create an original player character and is then allowed to interact with other characters from the manga. Attack on Titan 2 includes many improvements over its predecessor, such as the addition of a story mode that can be played in a cooperative environment. In its first week Attack on Titan 2 sold almost 30,000 copies for PlayStation 4 in Japan alone, which places it on number three on the top sales chart.

Lags, Freezes, Glitches etc

In the short span of time since its release, Attack on Titan 2 has gained a solid fan base of devoted gamers. These gamers, however, have also lodged several complaints regarding issues faced during gameplay. These complaints have been reported from across the gamers community and are a major source of frustration and anger among the players. The topmost concern includes low framerate and lags. This creates a delay in the movement of the characters on the screen from the time the user presses a button. It can be really frustrating at times, especially during the more critical moments of the game.

People who play the game online have not been spared from these issues either. As online gamers suffer from a poor online connection. These connectivity issues result in the inability to find available sessions. The online gamers are also of the opinion that the first edition of the game, Attack on Titan, offered a better online gameplay experience. The developers have responded by stating that since the game is new in the market, therefore there aren’t many online gamers available at the moment, resulting in the inability to find available sessions.

Other issues include crashes and freezes which is sometimes followed by a black screen, these render the gamer helpless leaving them with no other option other than to reboot the system. Initially, it was assumed that these crashes and freezes are caused by an underlying problem with the hardware but as more and more people face these issues it is confirmed that there is an issue with the game itself.

Solution for all the Gameplay Issues

Even though you do not have any control over when and if the developers are going to release the patches to fix the errors, at the same time a lot is in your hands too that you can do to improve your gameplay experience. First off, ensure that the gaming console you are playing the game on is updated with the latest software update. Issues are more common on consoles that are running on outdated versions. Next, you need to make sure that you have downloaded the latest update of Attack on Titan 2.

Furthermore, you can alter the settings that are present in the menu bar of Attack on Titan 2. To begin with, you can reduce the Frames Per Second (FPS) setting for your game. A safe option would be 60 FPS. At this frame rate, the frequency of lags and freezes will decrease significantly without having any major impact on the quality of the display. Another foolproof method of ensuring a gameplay experience free from lags, freezes and crashes is playing the game on minimum graphics settings. This might seem like a huge compromise but this is what it takes to have a smooth gaming session of Attack on Titan 2. When you are playing on high graphics settings, the resources of the system sometimes get exhausted which are the reason for lags and freezes.
